Reflections on Motherhood

From Tears to Transformation

By Ranjith KumarPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
From Tears to Transformation

I repeatedly brought my mother to tears.

Her cries did not appeal to me as a ten-year-old.

I wish I could go back now that I am a mommy.

I occasionally reflect on how I behaved back then.

Did my mother drink a lot of beer because of me?

Still, mother made sure I would follow my course in school.

Perhaps in the future you'll bring me to tears.

However, I'll move on and your words will become black.

I promise to support you in facing your worries no matter what.

and I'll tell you to fly, just as my mother used to say.

and know that I'll always be there for you. Don't be afraid of change.
