Reflections on Hope
I dived, escaping endlessly.

In the secret of my life and the rest of the creatures
What I touched my truth and what I got, I got
So my dream became to immigrate where I belong
From here I saw my path has no limit
For the past pulls me and hides it from me
All that taught me, I did not seek it
So I sailed without a compass and without hope
Passing my way to rest from its woes
My fear was of it and I did not ruminate for it
I dived, fleeing endlessly
Wandering aimlessly, doubting my tricks
For no matter how much I ignored it, it pursued me with the grip of regret
I stifled my sighs and hid my tears from me
Hoping to find a warm embrace there where
I will live far from the nets of those memories
For I will not return to its cold bars
And my mind does not yearn to talk about it
So I became more hateful of everything that passed from it
And when I became behind its mirage
I no longer remember that I came from it
And to it Longing shakes me or looms
And my mind no longer reproaches me no matter how much I search
For hope I became an ambassador when I won with it
So love, goodness and faith embraced me
When I left the bridge where I was contemplating
Searching for places of tranquility and generosity
There I settled where my hope lived
There I met myself and my soul repented
There I saw myself riding the palanquin of the nobles
From there I will never look back
For I am not a dreamer of everything I do not realize
And I do not seek a land in which there is no good
But I am happy with everything that time has bestowed upon me
For life is less than what we desire and what we cling to
And not everything we aspire to in it we achieve
But with hope and what is less than it comes relief
And everyone longs to catch up with the bandwagon but
The winds of fate surprise us with what we do not expect
For when the sun sets, tomorrow is the time of sunrise
And they are only hopes for the days that remain
For if they go, it is as if they never were
About the Creator
Kisama Riyo
I have always been interested in poetry and essay, especially rhyme style, so I decided to post my essay here and see if I have any talent in poetry or not.
