Reflections on Change

Change can be a scary thing,

It pulls us from our comfort zone,

And makes us face the truth within,

As we strive to find a new home.

We often cling to what we know,

And resist the pull of something new,

But in the discomfort of facing change,

We find the strength to see it through.

For when we look inside ourselves,

And face the things we fear the most,

We discover hidden parts of us,

And learn to grow from coast to coast.

It takes a certain kind of courage,

To embrace the journey of self-discovery,

To open up and be vulnerable,

And let go of past history.

But in the midst of all the pain,

Comes a hope that we can't deny,

As we learn to trust the journey,

And see the beauty in the sky.

So let us take the journey within,

And embrace the power of change,

For in the discomfort of facing truth,

Comes a beauty that cannot be estranged.
