The mountains extract the sour taste, as it seeps into their bones
And the wholesome scent of pine and earth clears the palate.
Vain greyness capped with white bursts reflect on green glass
And the lingering graze of Summer's retreat leaves me caramel golden.
Listen: hear the trees crinkle as Autumn's patchwork cloak simmers and falls.

So lovely! “And the lingering graze of Summer's retreat leaves me caramel golden.” Was sublime
This could have been written for the picture. You really capture that moment poetically well.
This was brilliant such vivid descriptions Vain greyness capped with white bursts reflect on green glass this line really stuck out to me
The sensory descriptions in your poem are truly sublime....I feel each one as I read it.
Rachel, I love the vivid imagery alongside the sensory elements!! So beautiful!! Also, I love that picture!!
This is simply gorgeous. Well done.
Absolutely gorgeous. Paul said it perfectly, couldn't hope to give better praise than that!!
Makes me think of closure and new beginnings, Lovely.
Okay, chum, this is just stunning. Evocative, poetic, ticks all the boxes for a sensory poem with a touch of verbose classiness. Just, yeah, well done. By the way, the image and that pitch perfect title was what drew me in. Aside from you know, it being written by you. I saw the title first and then your name and thought "Makes sense!" :)
Is it weird that this made me hungry? Hahahaha. Loved your poem!
Oh, this is quite a hyperreflective piece:)
Your poem beautifully captures the depth and transformation of nature. The balance between the mountains' bitterness and the freshness of spring offers a vivid experience. Especially, the mention of "Autumn's patchwork cloak" brings the changing colors to life. That's an amazing poem! Wonderful✨😍
