Stop for a sec… and look in the mirror!
Take a few minutes to stare into the eyes
Of the person on the other side.
If you look into your eyes long enough…
Do you see the soul of a beast, trapped
And longer asleep!
Driven by rage…
Suppressed for many years…
Locked in a cage of ones drowned tears.
Fighting to be released…
Living in a dry heat…
Lost in a pit so deep!
But how do you let out an animal
Thats been caged for so long,
In self pity and sorrow…
Reflecting on a life that's only borrowed!
Where do you find the courage…
To overcome your fears, when it feels
Like the whole world is out to get you.
Pulling you into its demented game solitare…
Where you’re its biggest winner, or it’s greatest loser!
Stop for a sec… and look in the mirror…
While reflecting on the one life you live!
