Red Tinted Snow

Frosted Verse

I wake up to the sudden glow of sunlight

streaming in through the window.

A gentle breeze sweeps into the room,

creating a majestic ambience.

---

Fluffy cape adorns the earth,

blanketing it in a beautiful mix

of rosy, cool, and icy white,

spinning me around in its orbit.

---

I have a desire to submerge beneath it

and pour the essence into my vacant vase.

When I seek a boost, it shall serve me well.

It ought to possess a whiter shade.

---

The tidy cover hides the darkness I had to confront,

I never meant to, that's for certain.

It engulfed every part of my existence.

There's no use reflecting on it now.

---

Oh, mellow snow, please let all of this go away,

transform the red evil into a crystal ball.

Dissolve all the negative mental states,

restore much-needed peace and joy.

---

There shall be no more allowance for tears,

for the pain has reached its limit.

Smooth out every rough corner and edge,

so that laughter may echo through the stairs, replacing bitter regrets.

---

No more mood swings and piercing headaches.

It's time to celebrate and listen

to the gentle swishing of the snow

falling on the savoury soil.

---

Renew all the twisted coils and broken nerves,

rejuvenate, just like the best tea does.

For within this snowy, awkward shade,

It is the recipe for us all.

---

•I love how this poem reads like a story, I love that you write to nature asking for its healing and to the snow. ••this line blew my mind ‘ I have a desire to submerge beneath it and pour the essence into my vacant vase’ it shows me how deeply you trust nature and its power. ••• what a unique line ‘to the gentle swishing of the snow falling on the savoury soil’ 👏🏽 ~ this was inspiring, powerful and humbling all at once
