Reclaiming the Quiet

Reclaiming the Quiet

By F.R.B.Published about a year ago 1 min read

In the hum of the city, the pulse of the feed,

Where silence is a relic, a forgotten need,

We chase the next echo, the digital call,

A chorus of voices, yet no voice at all.

The world spins faster, the hours decay,

Our moments devoured by the endless display.

The stillness retreats, a shadow unseen,

Buried in pixels, lost in the screen.

But deep in the heart, a whisper takes flight,

A yearning for darkness, the absence of light.

To sit with the silence, to feel it once more,

The hush of the sea, the creak of the floor.

Reclaim the quiet, the space to just be,

To drift with the wind, to listen, to see.

The rustle of leaves, the soft breath of air,

The solace of knowing that nothing is there.

It waits in the margins, the cracks of our day,

A refuge, a haven, just a heartbeat away.

Turn down the volume, step back from the din,

Reclaim the quiet—let it begin.
