Reclaiming Our Hearts
A Tapestry of Love and Strength

In the shadows of a heart unclaimed,
I stand, a single mom, unnamed.
With dreams that dance in twilight's glow,
Yet love, it seems, won’t let me go.
His laughter echoes, but it fades,
In corners where my hope cascades.
A love I nurture, yet it’s one-sided,
In silent battles, I’ve abided.
They whisper, "She’s a mom alone,"
As if my heart is carved from stone.
But in my eyes, a spark resides,
A fire for my child that never hides.
With each long night and endless dawn,
I gather strength, though sometimes drawn
To visions of a love that’s near,
Yet shadows whisper, “He’s not here.”
Oh, how I wish to break these chains,
To let go of love that only pains.
For every tear, there’s strength to find,
A blooming heart, a hopeful mind.
I want my girl to see the worth,
In love that lifts, and gives rebirth.
No more will I accept the doubt,
In our bright world, we’ll sing and shout.
For she deserves a heart so true,
A gentle touch, a love that’s new.
I’ll teach her strength, to stand up tall,
To rise above, to never fall.
So here I stand, reclaiming me,
A woman whole, wild, and free.
No longer bound by heart’s mistake,
I’ll forge a path, for our own sake.
With every step, I’ll learn to see,
The beauty in just being we.
For love is not a thing to chase,
It’s in the laughter, in our grace.
And if the tides should ever turn,
A love that’s true, my heart will yearn.
But for now, I’ll hold her close,
In her bright eyes, my heart will boast.
Together we’ll weave a tapestry,
Of dreams and joy, of harmony.
With every hug, we’ll break the mold,
A story of two, fearless and bold.
And though the past may weigh me down,
I’ll rise again, no need to drown.
For love will find us, when we’re whole,
Two shining lights, one beating soul.
