Grow, swollen belly

I enjoyed comfort untold

The light blinded me

Time, time that flies past

I burned with fleeting desires

All for naught, my wrongs

Work, play, lust, loss, love

Decades to end frivolous

Pursuits of fraught youth

The lessons taught, learned

Free of the weight, my soul soars

The updrafts of Life
