I did not set out to read
only those who would read me.
I wanted all to read me,
and to read them too.
But no, most are fixated,
on sharing their own work,
no time for others.
I saw 28 notifications,
and felt happy.
At least some will be responses,
to my 600-strong work.
Nope.
Only two or three, maybe,
rest were xyz published.
I realize now this clutter is hiding
people who read me,
those who give their time,
encourage, motivate.
and then I unfollowed,
a lot for them.
They are there just for themselves,
not to extend support
no regard for my efforts.
No guilt, it's not vice,
I can do justice now
to those few
who show warmth, are friendly,
I will read selectively.

Yes, most people don't bother to read the work of others. There should always be reciprocity
