REACHING

A hand is there

********

I was down and felt so alone,

When a hand reached out to me.

Through helplessness and many tears,

I was blind and didn’t see.

++

I didn’t reach to grab that hand –

Falling into such despair,

Not recognizing anything –

Didn’t know that it was there.

++

I stumbled and it helped me up,

Then gently wiped my tears.

No matter what I ever did,

It was there throughout the years.

++

It helped to lead me safely from

Many problems that I’d meet.

It gave me strength to face my foes

And stand on my own feet.

++

I always will appreciate

What I’ve grown on to depend –

It’s the loving hand of friendship

Reaching out from my best friend.

    The Hand of God is always there whether we see or not that is what I got from this creation.
