Raven
A spectral messenger
Raven with the blackest wing
Whose caws are hoarse
No need to sing
Sent by Source?
Or an omen’s fling?
Her eyes watch with remorse
An observer over everything
Urging us to set a better course
Or feel the wrath of Gaia’s sting!
I dedicate this poem to my dear feathered friend who lost his/her life to a local fox. Ravens and Crows are so intelligent and beautiful, and I’ve always found them to be very spiritual. Rest in peace dear one.

Hi Hz - Coincidence I just saw this lovely rendition. Just recently I've been invaded by a 'Gaggle' (is that the proper description) of crows with the obvious huge leader steering their way onto my roof; don't know why? Although each year we get very large Canadian Geese migrating to the reservoir within view of our canyon home. But, the Coyotes steer clear of them, with respect.
