Rapunzel’s New Dawn
Rapunzel, please let down your hair
there’s lots of life for you to share
It’s now time to let down your locks
as opportunity on your door knocks
The tower walls have kept you still
yet dreams lie waiting past the sill
No chains can hold what longs to be
a life beyond for you to see
The sky is wide, the roads are near
the world is calling loud and clear
Step out, release the years of stay
Rapunzel let them drift away
The mirror shows what time has kept
the hours you lost, the tears you wept
Now turn the page, no need to hide
take back the glow you hold inside
The winds will lift, the stars will guide
no tower now, no walls to bide
The locks you drop will mark the start
of freedom flowing through your heart
Rapunzel life is yours to claim
no whispered tale, no shadowed name
The doors are open, wide and true
the world is waiting just for you
