Hate is as much of an art
as love.
Maybe more so, the delicious
wickedness of imagining
what you would do,
what you would say,
given the chance in the arena
of your choice with your
hand-picked audience,
the devilish delight
uncovered in scheming things
you’ll never do, involving
honey, fireants, and salt marshes
at low tide. In reality,
no one is safe. In my imagination,
no one is safe from me.

The transparency is a breath of fresh air in a way. I see love as more of an artful expression with more diversity - if hate were an art, then it would be pretty one dimensional.
Saw your name and did the whole "where do I. Know.." thing https://youtu.be/E22dmoQqSX4?si=R1-5QbiRqTCt8bMR I enjoyed your poem, strong opening line! Sybd for more thank you!
Oh my word. This was so good. I love the honesty. Not just honest about yourself. But awareness of the tendency of others. You spoke about the parts that aren't said out loud. I especially liked this line. 'In my imagination no one is safe from me' This poem feels mysterious, yet it revealed all. That is skill. Outstanding work Harper 🤗❤️
