If you could go to any point in time

What would it be

For me it would be when our ancestors first discovered music

I'd want to hear the melody

~

Were they beating sticks on rocks

Were they imitating the birds song

Did one of them just start to hum

Did anyone else sing along

~

Did they only have a tune

Did someone try to add grunts to go along

I'd want to watch it all in fascination

Only as an observer after all

~

From those humble beginnings

I could see how something so powerful came to be

The power of a melody to make us happy or sad

To completely alter our entire world view

With nothing but sounds

I'd love to see how it all started

When man first created song

This piece was born from my children. We were talking about going back in time to see events or animals long gone and this was my answer. I think this is one we can all agree on. I hope you enjoyed another bit of my ramblings. If you did then please leave a like, subscribe, and feel free to leave a tip. Till next time.
