Rainy Days

"I never expected my life to be this way,

So with every word that I say,

I'm amazed how far I've come so that is something I wanna convey,

But at times I feel like a failure & simply a stray,

Even as I proceed to Greatness I only continue to sway,

Because even with the most potent remedies I can't keep the pain away,

& as my darkest fears come to life I can't keep them at bay,

I only wish that everything would be okay,

But life will continue to bring on what it has to offer until I am old & grey,

& that's something that I understand & be that as it may,

I talk to, God above as he tells me the simple rule I must obey,

I know everything will be find so all I do is pray,

But even when I'm dead & my body decays,

I hope my words will echo throughout time & is made to relay,

So with them I try to paint picture so they can take form as it portrays,

May my words dazzle you forever as it only begins today,

But even as I get off track & this poem turns into an essay,

These are just some of my thoughts as the rain falls down my window like a beautiful display,

& as I sit at my desk while it storms as the music plays,

I still can't help but wonder why I think & feel like this on these lovely, insightful Rainy Days"
