Rainscapes and Emotions
Life - poem

tears run down cheeks - streaks of salt while
raindrops slide down windows
does winter rain dim despair?
**
dripping chalky sky
hangs solidly over the red, golden, and green landscape
as birds flit through shrubs devoid of leaves
singing in the rain, running in the dirt
finding seeds to fill their hunger
golden deer munch grass, unconcerned,
gracefully living
squirrels scamper, scoring nuts for their
winter cache
life continues
**
can the fresh smell of sprinkles and mist
help equalize emotions?
**

when sadness dangles and strangles
under blue skies and bright sun,
is it less heavy?
life continues, but
which sustenance is for sorrow?
how is a torn heart healed besides time?

What a great poem and love the pictures. Makes one think.
Such a beautiful sad poem, Andi. It washes over you, doesn't it? Some days are better than others but grief is a bitch. It's been raining here all day too, and all sorts of sadness is coming back. Hang in there, my friend.
