Rains of Love in the Deep

A Thirst for the Unreachable Sky

By LUCCIAN LAYTHPublished 11 months ago 1 min read
Serguei Borodouline - Climbing

Love rain—

but I am chained where light drowns.

In the closeness of doom where maybe groans through rotted heaven half-opened.

A forsaken storm hungers for the licked breath of hell’s starved water.

Love rain—

But here, in the middle of the seawalk, no drop falls into my broken palms.

Hell craves for the open pomegranate clouds.

And, the thighs for the sad skies flood.

Love rain—

And, I, me the shadow that has merged into water from bronzed salt.

The fetters remain shut and the rusted doors that cover, my voice is a song.
