A pride poem

Rainbows are made of

dozens of droplets

coming together

to project a prism

in the skies.

None identical,

each unique,

a tiny fragment

in a colorful form.

Together they bring hope,

a sign after the storm,

yet alone they’re just teardrops

on a bruised and broken earth.

Together they are a spectrum,

a society of those unseen alone,

but together are a phenomenon.

Louder than the storm,

brighter than the lighting,

bolder than the thunder.

We stand under the arch

of color so bold and beautiful,

and radiate from our own core.

Together we become the droplets

to make our own rainbow

and outshine the storm.
