Rain of Sadness

Sadness falls like rain

From a sky so gray and dreary

It drains the joy and drains the pain

Leaves the heart so heavy and weary

The world seems cold and unforgiving

As the darkness closes in

There is no escape, no reprieve

From the sorrow that dwells within

The wounds that cut so deep

Leave scars that never fade

The pain that wracks the soul

Makes the heart a broken shade

But though the tears may flow

And the night may seem endless

There is always hope, always a way

To find the strength and courage to mend this
