Rain in July

Sad girl summer again

Why does the sky open up

Every time I shut down

Isn't it enough

The people around

When I can't breathe

The sky is screaming

All I want to do is leave

It's always raining here in July

Sink into the deep

Waves crashing over me

Crack in the hull

she's taking on too much

Watch her bleeding

Saltwater in the cuts

She isn't enough is she

Why is it always raining in July

A certain shade of blue

The sky lighting up

When I wish I could be too

The only way I can function

Praying for the day when my eyes

don't match the sky

When it rains in July
