RAIN

a poem

By Edwin RosengrenPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I hate the rain

( no I don't )

I love the rain

endless life from nature

endless washer away

of what ?

the dirt upon your hands ?

you can cry in the rain

or with the rain

happy tears or sad

and nobody sees the difference

nobody knows the reason

the down pours are my favorite

rivers of renewal engulf you

and you can shine again

A warm summer rain

Thunder and flash

lightning and boom

nature performs for us

reminds us who is the boss

shows us what power really is

maybe the electric goes out

and we sit in the dark

with nothing to do but wait

and tell stories

be human

be our ancestors

Quiet in the dark

listening to the reign

nature poetry

About the Creator

Edwin Rosengren

I have been creating stories most of my life , but have never had a venue that I was comfortable with , which also had a significant audience . As a result most of my stories became amusement for myself only .

Here , I plan to change that .
