Raid a Thousand Strong

Tiny soldiers marching to win their prize

We scamper beneath the withered grass,

thousands we number and swarm amass.

We trudge onward to territories unknown,

hoping for bounties splendidly grown.

A tower in sight; charge quickly forward,

we must claim our hard earned reward.

Halt; a beast blocks our path,

better not to incur its wrath.

Moving ever quietly we move around our foe,

Slowly approaching our ill gotten dough.

Finally arriving we scatter to and fro,

looking for treats that glimmer and glow.

One hails for all to quickly assemble,

Debates rise quickly and so does the babble.

Two choices before them and both very sweet,

it becomes rather hard to pick such a treat.

Soon one is chosen and all rush to their homes,

all while eating their ripe juicy domes.
