And Finish Lines

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

There are angels on the subway

With good intentions at the door

Mixed flowers in a spring bouquet

As feathers fall upon the floor

Prayers meant just for heaven

Filling the ears of the divine

Grace and mercy given

As miracles move down the line

Holy and mundane meet

Turning tickets and turnstiles

Traveling at a high rate of speed

Under streets by blocks and miles

Sacred and sacrilegious join

The profane and the profound

Two sides of a mirrored coin

Hallowed feet on mortal ground

Entertaining angels unaware

Almost everywhere we go

miraculous moments of savior-farie

As our hearts and halos glow

I love this, Kelli. Entertaining angels everywhere without exception, even if the only wings & halo belong to you.
