Queer Sun

A poem about nature's queerness

By GeorgiePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Dearest sunlight reveal your colours,

Come out from hiding,

Let me bask in your rainbow utopia.

Your light is a spectrum,

Share with me all your shades,

Let me marvel, let me bask in you.

Shine your magnificence into the ocean,

Persevere as crashing waves swallow your diversity,

And masquerade as blue.

Your waters remain vibrant,

Hidden pigments calming, clashing, colliding,

An invisible cacophony of colour across the globe.

Mystic stories ripple from shore to shore,

Whispered secrets are washed away,

Worlds cleansed of pretense and persona.

Ocean, quench my thirst to be seen,

Sunlight, illuminate my body from within,

Let pride feed my soul, let pride nourish my flesh and bones.
