Queen of Lavender

A Life Portrayed in Color

By Sami Slaughter Published 5 years ago 1 min read

I am Queen of Lavender

with feelings of sapphire

Who fights for better days of calendar

with the soul of rubies, like red flames of fire

I - the figure of femininity and pink,

clothing of black and mystery,

and never do I want you to think,

I am weak with no victory

Because I am queen

of my own crimson lands

a ruler, as I am seen

assertive with strong demands

Vermilion is the music I play,

and for the music I sing

Vermilion is the voice I portray

My music never reserved for thy king

I say queen of lavender,

it's my fondest of color

I am only human, just a youngster

Though human and human like no other

I've written across colorless pages for years

adding every colorful word I could muster

With words written, I bring those to tears

with the power of my black - inked cluster

inspirational
