Purple

Aunt Debbie

The sun sets at night

The birds take flight

Yet her favorite color was nowhere in sight

They said when she leaves you'll see her everywhere

Yet I feel hopelessness and in such despair

I have a glimmer of hope with each passing day

That something purple will soon pass by my way

There it is!

Just like I thought!

On a shirt, towel and blanket

The color seems to pop

She is right there every dayHer favorite color purple shows me the way

It may not be primary or easy to spot

but royalty knew it was worth hundreds and the color to be sought

she told me this all the time

Just to make sure I never forgot!

Perhaps purple was her favorite because it was royal or maybe not!?!

I just wish I could ask her again, as I put her urn in her spot.

The birds take flight

I see her tonight in a different lightperhaps ppurplishtonight.
