James & Oneg’s Summer Writing Extrav-again-za: Taste The Rainbow

The lilacs that grow outside my grandmother's house (innocence, confidence, first love).

The french lavender colour we painted the frame of my childhood bed (devotion, serenity, grace, calmness).

The violets my girlfriend nicknamed me for (modesty, humility, faith, sapphic love).

The crochet rose I made for my newborn niece (adoration, wonderment, charm).

Blossoms all of the same colour, with different meanings (but to me, they all mean home).

This poem was written for the 'Taste The Rainbow' prompt that is part of James & Oneg's Summer Writing Extrav-again-za. I may have cheated on the title a little oops.

So beautiful! 🩷 All the feelings, concepts, and emotions attached to each flower was such a nice way lead us through them all. And 'different meanings, but all mean home' ... omg those words are breathtaking! 🩷 Loved this so much! 🩷 (and gosh, thanks so much for the shout out 🩷)
