Light Breaks The Water Challenge

June's strands of gold

spills over, puddling at my feet

Silently cold, exposure

thoughts remaining, incomplete

time expires, urging a word

begging the moments past to speak

suspense awaiting to be unfurled

a long awaited peace

But held in time, still frozen

that taste of sweet release

Experience breaks wide open

with a warm, tender embrace

Imprints that last forever

a mark, lines in the sand

Claiming its season's lover

with a fire that must be fanned
