Psychopath

You can't be controlling and be a savior

The man thinks

he is a patriarch, a savior.

But he is actually

a psychopath —

unhealed, oozing trauma,

actively ruining lives.

After half a century of marriage,

his wife has no choice, no voice either,

she is a controlled puppet.

Sons are seen as money machines.

“Give, so I can build empires,”

People will call it impressive.

Daughters are meant

to support him with loyalty,

to bring him honor.

Others are unimportant.

If you give him attention,

and material things,

then he will be happy.

He is a living, breathing,

demon with endless motivations.

Unmet wants makes him

a fuming monster.

gaslighting, passive aggression,

manipulation, isolation.

and control are his weapon.

He’s old, almost

at the verge of death,

yet he will not make peace.

He’d rather

carry all his bitterness

to the grave.

Don’t be like him,

Or your thousand chants

and spiritual journeys

will be futile.

You can’t be hostile,

devoid of empathy

and expect to be

sent to heaven.

Many times, that's exactly how things are. I have witnessed what you describe as a third party, and it's dangerous — very much so. May God protect the people who live under the control of terrorizing personalities.

  • Psychopathy is rampant, Mark.

What a creative way to describe and define such a person. Good job.
