She ran high
on stilettos and pride,
intoxicated by the atmosphere
of her small town.
Respected, yet ignored all else.
Believing this was it.
No way.
Passive-aggressive behaviour.
This can go on forever.
Under duress -
other people’s lives.
Forgetfulness is the key -
deliberate, confusing the opponent
with no remorse.
Worse -
a society gone wrong,
where everything and everyone feel trapped.
These toxic rules bring no joy.
Like driving too many red cars,
a plague
of those old women calling themselves “moms”.
