Prom Song

Slow Dance

By Donny FoleyPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

I told you how I didn't like prom as a concept

Too expensive, too much drama, only for one night where you go home and never where those clothes again because you most likely grow out of them

I told you how I didn't even get to dance because the person I went with wasn't my date, she was just a friend who wanted to go to a prom

So one night I go to you after I found a song that was just drenched in prom energy (Until I found you by Stephen Sanchez)

I remind you I never got to dance at my prom and asked if you'd want to dance with me.

Nothing extravagant, just a slow dance, just you and me in your room

We danced for a few minutes and just held each other after

Just another memory I thought I would hold dear forever, spoiled
