How could I scrimp and save
In unbridled expression of
My amorously impassioned meditations and
Deepest grieving affectations?
ᝰ✍🏻 .ᐟ
When it comes to translating
Lived experience to black symbolic lines
Doled out to the weary world
On contrasting pristine white
How could I spend
Letters and punctuation with a
Hesitating, thrifty mind?
ᝰ✍🏻 .ᐟ
When words froth up from deep inside
Churning and whipping
To a heady phrase-packed foam
Stiff-peaked stanzas spilling over the edge of
My swirling liquid soul
In a nostalgic semi-solid dome
How could I bring myself to
Shut down the manifesting flow?
ᝰ✍🏻 .ᐟ
A multitude of free-form thinks
Are constantly crowding to
Escape my racing thoughts
Pressure building to a whistling hisssss
Babbling paeans seeping from pores unclogged
A vapor of misty musings, my constant companion
Condensing into droplets
On any walls I stand within
Birthing rhyming couplets and jaunty tercets
Converging into dribbling streams of metered sonnets and lyrical sestinas
Rung around with a cloud of haiku and quatrain
Every step I take, interpretive
Leaving imprints in the land
Heart-wrenching ballads pour forth
Watering whispered seeds of remembrance
Nourishing the secret scenes of my heart
Reaping a systolic syllabic bounty
Chatter flooding my body like
Blood in my veins
Praise racing across lips and fingertips
Quivering with gratitude, profound
ᝰ✍🏻 .ᐟ
As a prodigal painter of poetic portraiture
I am in perpetual need of pigments to fill my palette
I CRAVE:
~expanded shades of every spectral hue to layer and blend
building texture and depth to a frighteningly surreal
representation of reality
~more extravagant paper and pens
I long ago abandoned moderation
maximizing transferred emotion
filling the space between lines
with subtext overflowing
~embellishments, glittering, sheer, and metallic
details are the real opium of the masses
voracious for further news on
the story behind the story
I pour more fuel on the inextinguishable linguistic blaze
to searing cries of "more, more, more"

Impressively vivid imagery… starting slowly and gently to end in a torrent. Love: “ Birthing rhyming couplets and jaunty tercets Converging into dribbling streams of metered sonnets and lyrical sestinas Rung around with a cloud of haiku and quatrain” And the concluding ‘painting” imagery.🤩
What is poetry, if not to express our deepest thoughts and emotions? Beautifully expressed throughout.
