Of being awfully too quiet

but when I’m loud, it’s a place for an inside voice

I stand accused

Of being too plain

but when I explode with color, it’s just too messy

I stand accused

Of being too honest

but when I silent, it’s assumed betrayal

I stand accused

Of being too analytical

but when I stop thinking, things go undone

I stand accused

Of being irrational

but when I rationalize, I patronize

I stand accused

Of cold-blooded murder even

for when I make demands, it’s unjust

I’m the accused

and the jury finds me guilty
