A long-awaited night

A little prince was born on a land not too far away

A whole kingdom awaited his arrival

Not for one or two hours

A whole thirteen hours stroke

Between a first and last contraction

The moment his tiny head peaked through

The gates of heaven opened

Preparing for dispatch

As Earth opened her arms to this baby angel

Princesses impatiently sat

Switching spots,

Left and right, front and back

No news yet, as the clock struck midnight

Some asleep

Others pacing in circles

One, two, and three

Nurses came in, no changes still

As the sun shun

Half his day gone by

The time was here

Prince Lucas arrived

Tears poured down,

A whole swamp’s depth

And more if I may say.

Purple prince as gorgeous as can be

Princess #2 held him

Couldn’t believe her eyes

She created him

Her perfect little prince

The Queen looked down

Complete disbelief

How amazing her princess had been

Fairy Godmother stood by, absorbing it all in

Love filled the room

Fairies danced as sprinkle dust they dropped

Dragons rested in respect

The kingdom in silence stood

As the Prince, his first breath, took
