Mixed skies...
there are so many layers of clouds
on days like these
the machines all buzzing too loud
quiet please
at least the wind has died down
to a subtle breeze
as the sunlight fights to come out
my mind at ease
spectral rays shine bright and proud
kissing tops of trees
as their canopies dance wildly about
like a timber striptease
little critters scurry along the ground
readying for winter’s freeze
in a daydream my thoughts drown
of travel overseas
lost track of times I’ve gone around
with intention to seize
the greatest love without a sound
my dearest Socrates
in nature’s beauty my heart is found
bringing me to my knees
