Prayers for Her (Pt. 26)

Another season to celebrate

By Rowan Finley Published 2 years ago 1 min read

May she turn to the cross,

because without its history, all is a loss.

Lead her to the light,

hold her through the fight,

of life’s pressing journey,

past every ugly worry.

May she become bolder,

as the world’s words grow colder.

She will rise with the sun,

even when every battle is not won,

and the word will always cover her,

because one day, she’ll realize life was a blur.

She’ll run to goals like a gazelle,

along the way, snatching people from smoky hell.

If my main purpose is for her empowerment,

then my entire life is well-spent.
