pov: you wake up to a text from me,

you are the sunshine to my rain, a ray of light on my darkest days!

so i write you this poem, though i know for you to read is a pain

“this early in the morning? what in the world was she thinking”

well, i can’t fall asleep and the thought of you keeps me awake

You stick around, even in doubt, and make me wonder what you’re all about

Because I’ve never met anyone like you,

and for the longest time, I really thought you were too good to be true

and despite my long list of issues

we’ve always felt like the only two in the room

but lately, its been feeling kinda scary

the idea of losing you, it breaks me

because you’ve filled up my life just by being around

you’re worlds away and i wish i was there with you now

to hold you close and tell you slow

i’m never leaving even if you beg me so

that you never have to fear that feeling of being alone

i’m here by your side, and i’m never letting go

taking care of you, especially when you don’t

words will fail to express what my heart seems to know

i love you, every day, more and more
