Pot Luck

i grew some crazy dope plants

a while back, not now

i pulled them out and hung them up

as a bloke once showed me how

each plant was over six feet high

and easy ten feet around

took me the best part of a morning

to get em up and out of the ground

i hung then from the rafters

using lengths of thin gauge wire

i didn’t know then what i know now

i should have hung them higher

a family of bush mice

got a whiff of my stuff

now it’s all over the carpet

covered in dog hair and fluff

they took all the biggest and choicest arms

and stashed it everywhere

in cupboards and drawers, boxes and jars

covered in cob webs, dust and dog hair

i sat there for hours picking and plucking

and blowing the dust off as best as i could

then i grabbed some scissors and a bowl

and did what i thought anyone would

i rolled a joint and had a cough

parts of it tasted real rough

musta missed a bit of dog hair

or did that taste like fluff

i'm still finding bits nearly three months later

and i’m still plucking out those dog hairs

why just today i found a three gram nug

wedged up under the stairs

the amount of dust and dog hair i've smoked

it hasn't affected me at all

i just wanna lick my nuts, sniff some butts

drink from the toilet

and maybe chase a ball
