I take daily walks outside

just to remind myself the world is still there

and it is bigger than you and I

but- even in the clear crisp air

in the middle of May

the atmosphere thickens

claustrophobia seeps in, just as the flashbacks do

I can not escape you

it's too late for me, that much I know

the damage is done

and now, never mind where I go

or where I move

I can not escape this madness

these bitter blues

it lives inside me now

a home for two
