Porcelain

so beautiful still.

By Ivy RozenPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

My porcelain doll so perfect you are

I left you alone and went somewhere far

You fell off the shelf, glass eyes they shattered

You’re all by yourself, beaten and battered

My porcelain doll dressed up to the nines

You’re beautiful junk and no longer mine

Oh my dear, I don’t care if your skin begins to crack

Oh my doll, I won’t come, I will never come back

Well yes of course it’s true, you’ve done nothing wrong

But I’ve purchased a new doll, and she can sing me songs

She has a string in her back and she bends to my will

You’re useless junk to me, yet so beautiful still

My porcelain doll, black holes for eyes

Cracked and broken it’s you I despise

Oh my dear, my porcelain doll

I know you loved me but I don’t care for you at all

heartbreak
