7/21 (Sunrise)

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

Sun, just risen, peaks

under northern arm-sprawl

of the Throgโ€™s Neck

๐ŸŒŠ

From even dawn, the

stream is steady flowing

cars and trucks

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

But the glossy green of

sound sitsโ€”soaks,

unmoving

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

7/22 (Sunset)

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

Above the highest deck,

spread and force filled wings

donโ€™t flap, but glide.

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

Gull on seaโ€™s breath:

soiled but pure,

coasting

๐ŸŒŠ

A hope of mine:

heโ€™d slideโ€”which

calmly he defies.

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

Not fast or slow, and so

the murky bird grazes

at gentle breeze speed.

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

7/23

Humid air syrup sticking

like supple sap on

tree bark

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

radiation, like saw,

cutting into

wooden skin

๐ŸŒŠ

brightness sears as

teeth of serrationโ€”

grinding

๐ŸŒŠ ๐ŸŒŠ

sweat drops are

tears for the

end
