Poinsettia’s red sheen
Covered by shadowy leaves -
Petals of truth rise.

A pointsetta’s frail petals -
Red purity thrives.

This was so beautiful. Loved it!
Oh, this is lovely!
What a delicate and serene reflection! The poinsettia, with its bold red standing out against winter's gray, becomes a symbol of quiet resilience and truth. This haiku captures both its fragility and strength beautifully—pure poetry in bloom!
Very nice
I loved your poems - they embody the beauty of the flowering plant we always see at winter and Christmastime. I adore poinsettias, largely because they are linked to my hometown of Charleston. Did you know that poinsettias were first brought to Charleston, SC, USA from Mexico by Joel Poinsett, a trade expert and diplomat sent to Mexico by President James Monroe in 1825? The Aztecs used the plants to make a reddish dye for fabrics and the sap was used medicinally to control fevers. The story of the poinsettia is often read to children during Christmas in the famous Holy City.
I love these plants
