Poetry Contest This Week Is Rhyme
Every month my writing group has a rhyme day and the 8th is the day. This month there is a contest for a week of rhyme.
So, it doesn't rhyme ever line
Does that matter? No, rhyme
is still there above this time
in this contest it is okay
people will vote and we will see
the rating of one, two, or three
that is what it takes to win
and humor usually has an in
prizes are fun to receive
it is not easy to deceive
the judges favor humor
and prefer no rumor
enter anyway I say
Today is the starting day!

Here is a couple that came in this morning:
Jessie Lou the monkey🐒
Loves her two puppies
Would like to teach them to ride donkeys🐴
She wears bandanas
And is always hiding bananas
~
The puppies start liking bananas
And now they are wearing bandanas

I have lots going on today
Getting my poetry out of the way.
Life can be silly
Also kind of frilly
I love me a dilly
bar, chocolate, nuts and
caramel too.
Really not very good for you.
Who cares anymore,
I do what I want not what I say
Hey!
Let’s talk wants versus needs
I want what I see
I am what I am
I see that I am what I see that I be
Yikes! Now I’m confused,
Am I me or am I not.
That I may have forgot
where I was going with this rhyme.
Maybe I’ll start over one more time.
Starting over with the end in sight
So we won’t be here reading into the night.
One more thing to put out there -
Have you ever pulled out your hair?
I mean really pulled it out?!!
It hurts, it will make you shout!
LOUD! So don’t do it!

Spreading Intentions
Frankincense and myrrh maybe a little rue,
Making a potion that knows just what to do,
Say a few words whispered into the air,
Intentions set tight what matters there.
Light the candle let the flame hit the wick,
Clear your mind let the energy run thick…
Move your body to the sway,
Listen to the wind whisper “hey”…
Hear the internal voices rise about and stir,
Then whisper whatever you wish to infer…
Positive intentions bring good and peace,
Negative vibes help spread destructive release.
Stay connected and consciously aware,
Rather than making wishes without a care.
Take a moment to think always take head,
When we create~remember we make what we seed.

These are repeat post that Vocal did when it was not working right. It reposted this! I only now caught on because I remember Dharrsheena saying, "I like John's the best!" 😂😂😂😂

Another batch of lovely poetry! All are perfectly written <3
These are all very good even with the ones with rhymes every other line. Good job.
