Don't buy your captors
Or everyone will know
Coming as a free spirit is better
Don't let the room tell on you because it will
Once is a roll of the dice
Three times is sacred
a fourth time is a march for tomorrow
Take simple breaths in truth and deep ones in pursuit
Say I love you, only when you mean it and when you really feel it, speak it softly or shout it to the winds, it's up to you
Don't buy your captors or the free spirit never wins
Cross your heart so you understand
See how that works for him?
now there is distraction to blame
Conversations are glass when there are no footsteps, only an enemy walk
A soul trapped has no regard for highways
Ego as a sort of preservation excuses the homeless
It's like an attitude walking all on its own

I loved the flavor of this one Lisa! Brava! Those boots are fierce by the way! ☺️
Personifying the room was a nice choice. I like the dominance over love when spoken. That it should be spoken softly. But if not, it should be shouted to the wind instead. Slipping on boots like those, does not come without slaying words so that it fits the vibe. This was masterfully done. 🤗❤️
This is beautifully written!
