Some poets write of darkness
Some others, only light
Yet many left me unfulfilled
So I began to write
See, every poem’s a flicker
That started as a spark
I soon began to recognize
That each could leave a mark
With light on light, there’s nothing
And dark on dark’s the same
But when you learn to blend the two
That flicker starts to flame
Some topics are contentious
Some others, very mild
But if I only write what’s safe
My poetry’s defiled
I’m learning inspiration
Extends its arms of reach
Since poetry reflects my mood
My mood today was, teach

Well, thank you so much for teaching me today! I loved this poem!
Poetry! What an object to be sung! Not only you explained concisely the tacit experience of consuming and creating art but did so in beautifully good ways! My 10/10 :)
