As I breathe in the night air

I feel your arms around me

But I know that you’re not here

Not laying right beside me

I turn around and stare

At the empty space around me

And wish that you were here

To break the silence in me

I feel your kiss against my lips

Pressed hard against me

I feel your hands go down my hips

Warming the ice inside me

I see the memories like clips

The tears trying to drown me

My whole heart your hand grips

My pain coming to choke me

I get that piece of mail

That shows you’re thinking of me

And it never seems to fail

That smile that comes across me

My heart and soul set sail

To hear your voice inside me

Your words they tell a tale

Of how you understand me
