poem: distant shores
a short reflection on grief, loss, and amaranthine love
By Heather HolmesPublished 6 months ago • 1 min read

Pixel art of a white wolf and a black wolf, the dearest of friends who are tragically separated but find their way back to each other
Until the moon goes dark
until the stars rain down
the sun exhausts its spark
and drops its fiery crown
my heart will call for you
my soul still seeking yours.
Our journey will renew
again on distant shores.
