Waiting in Stride

Patience at a time when things are hard

It's so weird to have such an odd start

When sickness sets in it's a whole different game

Each moment is precious

Every decision the same

Slowly moving forward

Apprehension is high

Take in a breath

Hands to the sky

Try to keep fear from fogging my brain

Keeping composure

So I don't go insane

Each little choice is a hopeful chance

To move things towards a more positive stance

Health slowly comes back

But I take it in stride

Not wanting to get too excited

Before the results completely unwind
