Playing with Genesis
How I gain Wings
The bookworm slowly knew how to dig
It wasn't his nature to become something big
He dived into words and fancy images
Nothing could take away that cover
He discovers soon, how heroes move
Not with just speeches
or fancy shoes that dazzled in the sun
But by heart and blood that shed tears
That he had nothing to fear
-
He began training under the heat
Running around the fence line
Closing his eyes pretending each time, it was his first time
People gather, wonder, why he was running with the wind
Why was he wasting his time
He knew every pounce of his foot
He was going to get there, someday maybe even today
-
Acting as if he was in a cage
Pretending the rain didn't make his legs ache
Tears flooding within his brain
His running nights now
With the wolves and crows tracking his progress
He didn't want to become useless
-
People point and say "freak!"
They didn't believe him through his devoted run
"It's just a fool under the sun"
Labels stick and try to land on his face
Yet he broke through as if it was his grand finale
He jumped and he was proudly running faster
Around and around, he was insane they said
Then, he became the boy who flew
Slowing they could see it, feather limbs behind him
As he soars over the fence and houses
breathing in freedom and luck
He was the final firework of summer that day
About the Creator
KuroHoshi
A Poet, An Artist, and the person who tries to become a living star
I write the about the creatures from underneath my mind
Some are happy, others are truthful, but I'll let you decide what's their fate
